Welcome to Business Khata. These Terms and Conditions are the rules for using our mobile app and related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to follow these rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About the service

Business Khata provides tools to help you manage your business. This includes ledgers, contacts, items, sales, purchases, payments, bill fees and taxes, money accounts, income, expenses, transfers, income and expense categories, stock and inventory, barcode scanning, business overview, PDF reports, reminders, and the Refer & Earn program. We also provide cloud backup so you can sync data across devices, and support for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi thermal printers. Some features are free. Some need a paid subscription.

2. Your account and eligibility

You must give true and accurate information when you register.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
Do not share your login details in a way that puts your data at risk.

3. Rules for using the app

We want the app to be safe and useful. You agree that you will not:

Try to access other people's accounts or data.
Use the app for illegal activity, fraud, or to harm others.
Try to hack, disrupt, or damage our servers or networks.
Use automated bots or scripts to copy data from the app.
Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful files.

4. Your data and content

You own the business data you enter into the app. By using the app, you give us permission to host, process, and back up that data so we can provide the service. Our team may also look at account, usage, and stored records when needed to run support, stop abuse, keep the service secure, and improve the app. We do not sell your data. 5. Free trial and unused accounts

New accounts usually get a free trial of 30 days, or the length shown in the app. During the trial you can enter your business data and use the app as described for that plan.

When the trial ends, you can still log in and buy a paid subscription to keep using the same account and data. If you never buy a paid plan, we aim to keep that unused account for up to 6 months after the trial ends. After that, we do not guarantee that the account or its data will still be there.

If we need to reduce server load or clean unused accounts, we may delete accounts that have never purchased a paid subscription, along with all data stored for those accounts. This may or may not happen. If the account is deleted, you will need to create a new one. This cleanup does not apply to accounts that have bought a paid plan.

6. Subscriptions and payments

If you buy a paid subscription, payment and renewals are handled by Google Play. Google's billing rules apply. We show the features and limits of each plan inside the app. We may change prices later, and we will let you know before we do. Referral discounts on your first paid plan are applied through Google Play offers when available.

If your paid subscription expires or is downgraded, access to some businesses or features may be locked until you upgrade again. Your stored data is not removed only because a paid plan ended. Unused trial accounts that never bought a plan are covered in section 5.

7. Refer & Earn program

Business Khata may offer an optional referral program. If you take part, you agree to these extra rules:

Eligibility: Referral benefits apply only to new accounts. A person who already had an account does not qualify as a referred friend.
How it works: Your friend must join using your referral link or code before they buy their first paid plan.
Friend discount: Referred friends may get a discount on their first paid plan, as shown in the app. A free trial does not count as a paid plan.
Your earnings: You earn commission only on your friend's first paid subscription, not on renewals. The rate depends on the plan they buy.
Pending period: New earnings stay pending while we verify the payment. After that, they move to your available balance.
Refunds: If a referred payment is refunded, the related earning may be cancelled or reversed.
Withdrawals: You can withdraw only from your available balance, not pending earnings. There is a minimum withdrawal amount. All requests are reviewed before payment is sent.
Payment details: You must give accurate payment details (such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, SadaPay, NayaPay, bank transfer, or Raast). We are not responsible for delays caused by wrong details.
USD tracking: Earnings are tracked in USD inside the app, even if your friend paid in another currency.
Referral code: Once you create your referral code, you may not be able to change it later.
Fair use: You must not create fake accounts, self-refer, abuse the program, or break any law. We may hold earnings, reject withdrawals, block referral access, or close your account if we suspect fraud.
Changes: We may change referral rates, rules, or payment methods at any time. We will show current rules inside the app.
Taxes: You are responsible for any taxes on your referral earnings.

8. Third-party services

The app connects with other services to work properly, such as Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play Integrity, and email delivery. When you use these features, you also agree to their rules and policies.

9. App availability and changes

We work to keep the app running, but we do not promise it will never go down. Sometimes we need to do maintenance or fix bugs. We can add, change, or remove features at any time.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be 100% perfect, error-free, or meet every need of your business. This includes support for third-party hardware such as Bluetooth thermal printers, because compatibility can vary by device. You use the app and connect external devices at your own choice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Business Khata and its team will not be responsible for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruptions caused by using the app. This includes data removed from unused trial accounts as described in section 5.

12. Account termination

If you break these rules, we may suspend or permanently delete your account to protect the app and other users. This includes blocking referral access or cancelling referral earnings if you abuse the program.

You can stop using the app at any time. To delete your account and data yourself, open the app, go to Profile → Delete Account, or read our Account Deletion page.

13. Governing law

These rules are governed by the applicable laws of your country. If there is a legal dispute, it will be handled according to standard legal procedures.
